melissa bryant is an artist living & working in indianapolis, IN. from creating books on flowers at the age of 7 to feeling ecstatic in 10th grade biology when the teacher assigned illustrated notes (when the rest of the class groaned,) they knew that art was the only path. after graduation, melissa pursued a bfa in painting & drawing at herron school of art. since then, they’ve had 4 children & has created many unique bodies of work including; mixed media/digital illustrations of pets, landscapes, and food stuffs, abstract/geometric paintings with textiles, and colored pencil drawings of moody houseplants. the latest focus had been colored pencil drawings of local flora & fauna, etc with some digital editing. by far the most involved & largest body of work that they’ve produced, melissa is also the proudest of how many people have engaged & connected to it.
